Resting in the centre of the market town of Buxton, Derbyshire is Apartment 2 - The Old Post Office, an excellent, second-floor apartment. Suited for a family of four or two couples, Apartment 2 rests moments away from the edge of the Peak District National Park. When arriving at the property, you will find an allocated parking space. As you enter the apartment building, which was a former post office, you will come across a range of books, games and DVDs in the communal entrance; be sure to take a few of these up to the apartment for some entertainment! Apartment 2 - The Old Post Office certainly holds the wow factor, and you'll notice this as you enter the open-plan living space, where a contemporary kitchen boasts sleek units and several appliances that any foodie would be pleased with. When dinner has been rustled up, enjoy it at the breakfast bar or as a sit-down meal with your loved ones, why not open a bottle of wine to accompany your meal, you're on holiday after all! Once you've tucked into a nourishing meal, settle down in front of the Smart TV and watch your favourite show. As day turns to night, choose one of two fabulous king-sizes to rest in, with one boasting an en-suite bathroom featuring a separate bath and walk-in shower, and the other offering an en-suite shower room; both bedrooms contain TVs, for extra evening entertainment. Finishing off the apartment's interior is a handy cloakroom, ideal for preventing those morning queues for the en-suites. Make the most of the sun and head out to the shared patio, where you can sit out and enjoy a spot of alfresco dining, courtesy of the barbecue. Buxton is an attractive town in the Peak District, with plenty of things to see and do. Buxton Museum and Art Gallery has a free family trail to help you explore the museum's collections, and there is also the nearby Buxton Opera House. Poole's Cavern and Buxton Country Park offer great opportunities to explore limestone caves and enjoy walks in the beautiful countryside. Go Ape Buxton can also be found here and provides a Treetop Challenge, Zip Lines and High Ropes courses.

    It's located centrally, in the middle of the historical part of Buxton. Beautifully appointed and very close to some great restaurants (recommend the Ithaca, Greek cuisine and very welcoming and friendly). The owners, Max and Mike, are lovely people - very helpful and friendly. If you're intending to stay in Buxton you couldn't do better.

    The only downside was traffic noise - secondary glazing, especially in the bedrooms would be a major asset.
