The cottage is set on the hillside just outside the rural village of Llanllwni. Nestled in the heart of Carmarthenshire, this cottage gives you excellent access to many of Carmarthenshire's best attractions. Head to Dolaucothi Gold mines in just 15 miles and discover Britain's only known Roman goldmine or head to Brechfa Forest (7.3 miles) an excellent spot for hiking and mountain biking. For a spot of retail therapy, head to the historic market town of Newcastle Emlyn (15 miles) or to the county town of Carmarthen (16 miles) which has a great selection of shops, restaurants and multiplex cinema. As you enter the barn, your open plan lounge/diner is immediately to your right. The lounge area enjoys four two seater leather sofas centred around the TV and a cosy wood burner offering up ample seating for all guests to relax together. There is a custom dining table at the rear of the room, allowing guests to dine or play cards and board games together. Adjacent to the lounge is the kitchen with custom built units. The kitchen has a great selection of pots, pans and crockery to whip up a simple supper or lunch during your stay. Just off the kitchen is a small utility area with a washer/dryer leading onto the family bathroom. Completing the ground floor is a double bedroom with built in wardrobe space. Head upstairs to the first floor and you will find a further three bedrooms. There are two doubles and one with a stand alone separate shower and the fourth bedroom is a twin room (can be made as a super king zip and link on request). All rooms have ample storage for clothes and belongings and are full of countryside charm. Please note that the age of the building means the floors are a little uneven in places but that just adds to the character. Completing the first floor is an additional WC. Externally, the garden backs on to the communal picnic and BBQ area which is laid to lawn. Fire up the BBQ after a day of exploring the county and enjoy dining al fresco as a family. There is plenty of space on the grounds for you to explore and relax in but guests are asked to refrain from entering restricted areas. All guests also have use of a communal BBQ area with picnic benches. Courtyard parking. Dark Sky location, light pollution is minimal. Pub and restaurant 1 mile, Shop 2 miles. Floors are uneven in places due to age of the building. Large pond in communal garden (children must be supervised at all times). 25 minutes by car to Skanda Vale Spiritual Centre.
