A divine stone-built cottage set in the village of Moylegrove near the town of St. Dogmaels in Pembrokeshire. This leads you into the traditional kitchen boasting a characterful oil-fired range cooker, as well as a separate cooker and all of the other essential equipment you will need. The ground floor also offers a bright and refreshing conservatory as well as a welcoming single room, perfect for a child to stay in. A walk up the traditional narrow staircase takes you to the first floor which offers beautifully decorated family bathroom and a remarkable king size bedroom under a sloping ceiling with charming wooden beams and a sublime feature stone wall. Y Felin also provides an extensive lawn for the children to play on whilst you make the most of the patio seating area. The cottage comes in a rather remote location, with the closest well-stocked place being St Dogmaels around 4 miles away. Situated within 1 mile of Ceibwr Bay and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, where seals can regularly be spotted. The village offers the essential amenities and provides a great base for a Pembrokeshire holiday. For a great day out why not take the Poppit rocket bus to the Poppit Sands beach, which can be enjoyed at any time of the year. Further afield Cardigan offers a good range of amenities as well as a castle and seaside entertainment. A beautiful cottage in a great location.
St Dogmaels is a village at the mouth of the River Teifi on the west Wales coast. Y Felin, one of the working watermills in Wales, retaining the machinery from 1820. It is thought the mill was originally built by the monks of St Dogmaels' 12th century abbey. The miller shows how the mill works, bread, flour and cakes can be purchased from the mill or you can eat in the Coach House Café nearby. The village has pubs, a fish & chip shop, a Post Office, a café and a small museum at the abbey. There is also a green and a millpond with ducks. Nearby is Poppit Sands where you can relax or enjoy walk as well as exploring the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. St Dogmaels is the start or finish of the 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path from Amroth. Visit Castell Henllys, the Iron Age Fort where everyone is encouraged to learn the ancient way of living, or visit Shire Horse Farm to see how farming was before tractors. The Cardigan Bay dolphins can be seen off the bay and active pursuits can be found at Cardigan Bay Active, including surfing, wildlife trips or coasteering. With scenic walks and beaches and attractions all close by, this is a perfect holiday location all year round.
