The villa is also close to Pula, the largest city in Istria County, known for its impressive Roman architecture. Head to Pula Arena, the 6th biggest amphitheatre in the world. Once home to Roman gladiatorial fights, it now hosts various music concerts and outdoor cinemas.

Discover dinosaur footprints in Brijuni National Park and explore underground tunnel systems from World War II at Zerostrasse. Built in 1903, the Pula Market Hall remains popular for locally-harvested vegetables, cheese and fish of all varieties. Bite into a delicious burek (a savoury pastry) at one of the many pop-up bakeries in the market.
