City-dwellers who don’t require a complete escape to the country will adore this villa in the Dordogne, on the outskirts of Bergerac in lovely residential area just 2km from the centre. Bergerac is also the centre of the region’s wine production; you must visit the Musee du Vin to learn all about the local appellation. Rent a car for a day trip (at least) to explore the dozens of wineries radiating out from Bergerac along the Dordogne...you'll be so glad you did.

The city of Bergerac, with its international airport, is about 2 km away. A visit to the old town standing out for its medieval architecture, narrow streets full of local boutiques and good restaurant, is highly recommended.
