Kylebeg Cottage receives high praise for its peaceful location, charming character, and hospitable hosts. Guests appreciate the surrounding wildlife, scenic hikes, and the cottage's cosy atmosphere. While most reviews are positive, a few mention cleanliness and maintenance issues, but these are not the norm. The property is well-regarded as a comfortable base for exploring the Wicklow Mountains and enjoying the tranquillity of the Irish countryside.
Most guests found the cottage to be clean and homely. However, there was a singular mention of the cottage being dirty upon arrival, which suggests that cleanliness is generally maintained to a high standard, but there may have been an isolated lapse.
The location is consistently described as beautiful and peaceful, ideal for nature lovers and those seeking tranquillity. It is a good starting point for walking in the Wicklow Mountains, although it is noted to be somewhat remote.
Guests find the cottage warm, comfortable, and homely, with comfy beds and a cosy fire. However, the low ceilings in the bedrooms were a concern for taller guests, and the noise from the water heating system was noted.
The cottage is well-equipped with a kitchen, washing machine, and underfloor heating. Some guests encountered issues with the shower and lack of privacy due to missing curtains. The absence of Wi-Fi was mentioned, but it did not significantly detract from the overall experience.
