Fishermen are spoilt for choice with plentiful stocks in the hundreds of loughs that populate the local area. Take a trip to Carrick-on-Shannon for a plethora of restaurants and bars and maybe take a cruise on the Shannon, Ireland's longest river. The Arigna Mining experience is well worth a visit or perhaps step back in time to experience life in a World War One trench at the Cavan County Museum. Head north for a day trip to Enniskillen or hike through the Dartry Mountains for spectacular scenic views.
