Kilfenora 5 miles. Standing alone amidst rolling fields, this lovely, detached cottage sits on the outskirts of the village of Carron, five miles from Kilfenora, County Clare, on the main R480 road. Light and airy, this single-storey Carron cottage has been restored and renovated to provide high-quality Irish holiday cottage accommodation, ideal for families. The large, open plan living space in this Carron cottage is great for spending time together, while the fresh, modern bedrooms offer a peaceful retreat. Across the road from this Carron cottage is the famous Caherconnell Fort; the ancient ring fort is exceptionally well preserved, and offers a visitor centre and popular tea rooms for guests.
30 minutes' drive will take you to the Cliffs of Moher and the beach at Lahinch; with great walking for all abilities, the Cliffs of Moher are ideal for walkers and nature lovers alike, while the seaside resort of Lahinch, with 2km of sandy beach, is perfect for family fun. Stroll along the wonderful Wild Atlantic Way which is a long distance footpath that runs along the coast, or discover the Burren, with its magnificent countryside and wildlife. With walking, cycling, golf and horse riding opportunities in the area, and angling available in Corofin, 8 miles away, this Carron cottage is the perfect base for enjoying County Clare, all year round.
