Step out of the front door and you're in the heart of the fishing harbour and village of Carrigaholt which has a shop and several pubs, where a warm Irish welcome can always be found. Stroll to the nearby beach where you can swim and perhaps see a dolphin, if you are lucky. Just a short drive away is Loop Head with its breathtaking coastal scenery and the seaside town of Kilkee has a wide range of pubs and restaurants, offering excellent seafood dishes for you to sample. This attractive cottage is the perfect peaceful retreat for your County Clare holiday.
The small, picturesque fishing village of Carrigaholt is located at the mouth of the Moyarta river, which flows into the River Shannon estuary, in County Clare. The village features a ruined castle and offers a shop and a handful of pubs and restaurants. There is also a beach, which is ideal for swimming, along with sea fishing opportunities and boat trips for dolphin watching.
