You’ll only be 500 metres from a beach and close to a national forest, scenic coastal trails and quaint villages.
Step inside and find yourself in the neutral-toned lounge with wooden furnishings, antique decor and a comfortable sofa where you can warm your toes in front of the open fire. Continue into the neutral-toned open-plan kitchen/diner with a compact fitted kitchen and a dining table with bench seating plus two chairs. The conservatory is decorated with Bohemian-style patterned soft furnishings with a large rug and seats to enjoy the view of the garden. Upstairs are three bedrooms – a double and two singles. Outside, you’ll find a large lawned garden with furniture.
During your stay near Aughacasla North, head to the coast to find a sandy beach (500 metres). For a meal out visit the village of Maharees (2 miles), which also boasts a sandy beach. Explore the narrow outcrop which leads to the expansive pale sandy shores of Maharees Beach, Brandon Bay (2 miles) and Fahamore Point Nature Reserve (6.5 miles). Enjoy a lakeside picnic in the Gleanteenassig National Forest (5.5 miles) and hike to the Glanteenassig Moraine Viewpoint (4.5 miles).
