Entering past the quirky exterior of pink paint and cedar-cladding, step into the open-plan living space where the warmth of the multi-fuel stove fills the room; take a seat in the plush sofa and soak in your quirky surroundings, before heading into the kitchen area where you can easily rustle up a romantic meal for two with the help of the good cooking facilities for your dining needs including a dishwasher and microwave. Cosy up beside the stove after a day travelling through beautiful West Waterford. When you’re ready retire to the king-size bedroom to catch up on your rest at the end of the day, with feature florals filling the room to offer you a homely aura to rest amongst, as well as the impressive en-suite shower room hosting its own charm in the form of unique tiling and plenty of space for you to prepare for your day of adventure. French doors open onto a private balcony overlooking spectacular gardens and a glorious vista beyond. Relax there whilst listening to the sound of the Finisk river below. The cottage has a lovely east facing private patio to one side. There is parking for two cars to the west of the property with storage for bikes if needed. The nearest local shop is called Beary’s Cross Stores which is a 10 minute drive through the winding roads. Almost equal distance is the much visited heritage town of Lismore which is a 19 minute drive. You could take a detour through the famous landmark Dromana Bridge on your way. A visit to the castle, it’s gardens and café is a treat not to be missed. If you’re in the mood to travel further on from Lismore to the village of Ballyduff Upper, which is a 29 minute drive, you will find a real little treasure, Blackwater Distillery where they distill Blackwater Irish Gin. The small town of Cappoquin is a 12 mins drive away and has a lovely little award winning café “Barrons Bakery” known for it’s blas.
