The cottage is well-equipped for a relaxing break and is ideally located for exploring the surrounding countryside. While most guests found the property clean and comfortable, a few noted areas for improvement in maintenance and cleanliness. Overall, it offers a delightful rural retreat with a friendly atmosphere.

Most guests found the cottage clean and well-presented, with several reviews specifically mentioning cleanliness. However, a minority reported issues such as dirty furniture, mould in the shower, and windows needing cleaning, which slightly lowers the score.

The majority of guests described the cottage as cosy, comfortable, and well-equipped, with particular appreciation for the beds and lounge area. A few mentioned issues with mattresses and a collapsed sofa, but these were less common.

Facilities are generally well-received, with guests noting a well-equipped kitchen, open fire, and plenty of hot water. Some reviews highlighted limited WiFi, TV channels, and maintenance issues such as a poor shower, tired furnishings, and lack of recycling.

The host is frequently described as exceptionally welcoming, helpful, and attentive, often providing local recommendations and ensuring guests feel at home. While some guests mentioned thoughtful touches such as wood for the fire, it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed.

Beds and couches very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Lots of hot water. Lovely view over the river Bride and valley. William is very pleasant and welcoming. Be careful of the drive to the house. It's very steep with lots of potholes. It's a working sheep and cattle farm with all the associated noise and smells. 5 minutes to Tallow where you'll find the wonderful Latch restaurant and a few pubs. 15 minutes to beautiful Lismore Castle and gardens. Didn't give 5 stars because the walls inside are very grubby and need painting ( would expect this to be done over the winter months for the next season). The windows need cleaning. There are no facilities for recycling anything. They have the bins but they just burn everything.

The cottage was clean, well equipped with plenty of cutlery and plates as well as comfortable chairs. The bed was also very comfortable. I would have loved to stay longer. Only drawback was the occasional loud noises from the adjoining property.
