From the water, boat trips reach the historic Cloughoughter Castle (2.5 miles), surrounded by the ever-changing waterways of Lough Oughter. Further afield, the ruins of Drumlane Abbey and Round Tower (10.5 miles) overlook Lough Derrybrick, and a scenic 30-mile cycling loop winds through the villages of Belturbet, Miltown and Killeshandra across the open countryside of County Cavan.
