The residence is set just outside Positano, boasting extraordinary sea views. Guests enjoy direct access to a public beach (partly gravel and partly rocky) via a scenic walkway (with approximately 260 steps) carved into the cliffside - the views are amazing.
Positano itself is nearby (just over 1km to the centre via the main coastal road, no pavement most of the way) and offers a postcard-perfect blend of cascading pastel houses, boutiques, elegant restaurants and charming piazzas. It’s one of the Amalfi coast’s most iconic destinations and loved by visitors from across the world (it’s especially popular in the high season). Beyond its romantic allure, the town also boasts a proud artisanal heritage. Since the 1950s, Positano has been celebrated for its handcrafted leather sandals, with skilled cobblers still creating bespoke pairs in traditional workshops, a stylish keepsake to take home.
From Positano’s marina, regular ferries whisk you away to the glamorous island of Capri, a must-visit for its upscale beach clubs, designer shopping and the famous Blue Grotto.
Villa Lomita’s location makes it perfect for exploring the wider Amalfi Coast. Head to Amalfi, a historic maritime republic with a striking cathedral and seaside promenade. Continue on to Ravello, perched high above the coast and known for its romantic gardens and summer music festivals. Alternatively, head west for a day trip to Sorrento, a vibrant clifftop town offering lively cafes, lemon-scented streets and excellent connections by train to the awe-inspiring archaeological sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum.
If guests choose to hire/bring a car, please note there is no parking available at the residence. Limited parking may be found along the main road, though this can be challenging, particularly during the high season. Alternatively, you can park in one of Positano’s car parks (fees apply) and make use of a luggage service, available on request (additional charges may apply at certain times). Many guests prefer to take advantage of the local public transport instead (and relax while someone else navigates those scenic hairpin bends!).
