Citadella is perfect for a family! Savor the simple pleasures of relaxation, grab a sun lounger and settle into a book whilst the kids splash around in the child-friendly communal pools. Children will enjoy playing hide and seek in the landscaped gardens within the complex grounds. After a long day of exploring, children will enjoy cuddling up on the plush sofa in front of the TV. The  ground floor bedroom will be perfect for children to share with two comfortable single beds. For larger groups, the sofabed can sleep two extra guests. A cot is also available.

Xlendi Bay is perfect for young families with its calm, shallow waters. Teenagers will enjoy snorkelling in the deeper water off the long stretch of rocks bordering the beach. Experience the thrill of an action-packed holiday and go mountain biking, kayaking, clifftop hiking and even horse riding! Alternatively, embrace the history, culture and stories that entertain young and adults alike. Visit the megalithic temples at Ġgantija, and the recently restored Il-Kastell fortress.

For a more laid-back adventure, take a boat ride and tour the coast. You can get to dive and swim at many idyllic spots or you can opt to sail out to Comino, the island that captures the imagination of many. Citadella can be found in one of the most exclusive areas of the island of Gozo. Fort Chambray combines an eclectic and exciting history. Citadella is within 10 minutes walking distance from the ferry terminal in Mgarr, Gozo. Guests can relax knowing that they are just a stones throw away the villages of Mgarr and Ghajnsielem, beaches, the marina and traditional Gozitan restaurants – you can’t beat Chambray View!

Gozo is a must-visit for all history buffs. Learn the history of Fort Chambray or head to the Ggantija Temples. These impressive megalithic temples shine a light on ancient Malta and are thought to have stood since 3,000BC. The Gozitan capital of Victoria is just 10 minutes away by bus, here you must visit Gozo’s major landmark; the Citadel.

When it comes to beaches on Gozo, you will be spoilt for choice! Overlooked by cliffs, Xlendi Beach is perfect for a swim, snorkel or dive in its calm and crystal clear waters. Ramla Beach is known to be the biggest sandy beach in Gozo, with rolling dunes providing the Backdrop, with rocky outcrops at each end. San Blas Beach is a small quiet beach, offering the same reddish sand as Ramla Beach but far less busy!

For the adventurous types among you, hop in the car and explore a different part of Gozo. Enjoy the hike from Xaghra to Rambla Bay or challenge yourselves and hike up to the Sanap Cliffs. At the end of the day, each hike is bound to reward you with captivating views. Afterwards, find a spot to eat some delicious, fresh Gozitan food. Gozo’s climate makes it ideal for growing wines, with a number of wineries offering tastings and tours. With great seafood from its own shores and plenty of restaurants to decide on, you are bound to fall in love with the Gozitan cuisine. What’s more, the locals are well known for their incredible hospitality, encouraging visitors to come back time and time again!
