You can also ask at the resort reception to organise anything from babysitting to boat hire. In the summer months the resort hosts a children’s club, so if the little ones still have some energy to burn off after splashing about in your private pool, it’s the perfect way to keep them entertained.

Come the evening, why not stroll down to the ‘O Farol’ restaurant on site for an a la carte menu with Portuguese specialties? There’s a children’s menu available, so it’s perfect for all the family. Or you can wander away from the resort to take your pick of the bars and restaurants that are all within walking distance. Come back to the villa and you’ll be able to enjoy beautiful views of the setting sun from the roof terrace. A gated stairway takes you up onto the roof, where you can enjoy one final glass of wine and gaze out over Rocha Brava and beyond.
