Sleeping six guests, this is the perfect place for a family or group of friends, that want the privacy of a private villa, combined with the amenities of a luxury hotel, offering access to the Hotel Albatroz Beach & Yacht Club’s facilities.
Within the villa itself, the furnishings are simple and laid-back, creating the atmosphere of a home away from home. The villa was recently redecorated, so it feels clean and fresh, ready for lucky awaiting guests! From the moment you walk in, it is easy to sit back and relax, settling into holiday mode! There is a fully-equipped kitchen, with all the appliances you need to cook some delicious holiday meals. The living and dining room is sociable, with large sliding glass doors that allowing sunlight to flood in, enlivening the space and also offer access out to an elegant balcony.
As well as the bright, sociable spaces, there are three private bedrooms; one double and two twins. With two en-suites and one family bathroom, everyone can enjoy their own privacy, with all the furnishings chosen for your comfort.
With a south-facing location, Villa Amelia tempts you to spend as much time as possible outdoors. The private, heated swimming pool is perfect for kids and adults alike, creating a relaxing atmosphere outside. There is a fabulous outdoor barbecue and space to dine al-fresco, so you can sit outside long into the evenings, maybe finishing the night with a cool class of wine on the peaceful balcony.
Guests also have the use of the superb Hotel Albatroz Beach & Yacht Club’s facilities and friendly staff. This includes a gymnasium, spa, tennis court, bar & restaurant, exotic gardens and two swimming pools. One of these pools is child friendly and heated, whilst the other is a striking world-renowned leisure pool, which was featured in 'Condé Nast Traveler’s' 116 of the most stunning swimming pools in the world...a really very special spectacle.Villa Amelia is located in the peaceful resort of Caniço de Baixo. For a wonderful golden sandy beach (imported from Morocco), head 16km east to Machico, where you’ll enjoy fantastic swimming and sunbathing opportunities. Situated in Santa Cruz, you’re also in prime position to take advantage of the beautiful surrounding pine landscapes. And with a stunning backdrop of orange houses nestled in green rolling hills, with the largest mountain on the island Pico Ruivo, inviting you to climb its peaks, you’ll love its scenic beauty. Santa Cruz is also home to many wonderful 16th century monuments as well as some delicious fine dining restaurants.
The Island’s capital Funchal is just 13km west, where you’ll love to amble along its seafront promenade enjoying a drink in one of its many beachfront bars. From here take the cable car to Monte, where you can visit the world-renowned Monte Palace Tropical Garden. And to get back to the Old Town from Monte don’t miss sliding down the steep hill on a traditional wicker toboggan! Once in the old town, be sure to visit some of the fabulous restaurants serving mouth-watering skewered meats, alongside exquisite tapas and heavenly desserts such as honey cake and passion fruit pudding. Football fans will also enjoy a visit to a museum in honour of Madeira’s best loved son Cristiano Ronaldo here.
