The perfect holiday retreat for unwinding and recharging your batteries in the sun, this charming villa features everything you need to enjoy a relaxing and memorable stay, including beautiful outdoor spaces, a spacious and elegantly designed interior, and a wonderful private pool.

The villa enjoys a warm and welcoming rustic decor throughout, with whitewashed walls and wooden ceiling beams, beautifully crafted furnishings and pretty, decorative touches. The living space is bright and open, yet cosy, featuring a traditional-style open fireplace, plump sofas, and soft ambient lighting. This open-plan space incorporates room for indoor dining, with a large wooden dining table and seating for enjoying hearty breakfasts and delicious evening meals. From here, guests can meander up the open staircase to a fully furnished chillout terrace and an open area is known as the ‘sky view zone’, which offers spectacular views of the countryside and the distant ocean.

Casa Gertrudis features a well-equipped, farmhouse-style kitchen - perfect for rustling up meals for the whole family during your stay. The amenities here are high-quality and plentiful and include an oven and microwave, toaster, coffee machine, juicer, kettle, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine - as well as all the cookware, crockery and utensils you’ll need to cater to you and your guests.

The bedrooms are all equally spacious and stylish, featuring the same charming and rustic decor as the rest of the villa. Two of the bedrooms are accessible from the lounge area; both are stylish twins with air-conditioning and ensuite bathrooms with modern shower facilities. A further three bedrooms are located in an adjoining annexe, which also features a second small lounge area. Here you’ll find two more twin rooms and a large double featuring a Balinese-style bed - all with ensuite facilities. The unique layout of the villa makes it a great choice for large groups of friends or two or more families holidaying together.

When it comes to outdoor spaces in which to relax, you’ll be spoiled for choice at Casa Gertrudis. There are plenty of fully-furnished areas to chill out, relax with a good book, or simply soak up the sun, as well as a covered dining terrace for alfresco meals. The villa’s private pool is easily accessible via steps - making it easy for guests of all ages to enjoy - and is surrounded by luxurious loungers and a Balinese bed. It’s the perfect spot for spending time together as a family, swimming and taking in the breathtaking views in this idyllic Ibizan haven. 

Casa Gertrudis is located in a quiet, rural location surrounded by nature, just a few km from the village of Santa Gertrudis - one of Ibiza's most beautiful areas and a firm favourite with both locals and visitors. People come here to enjoy the village's relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere, delightful central square, and agricultural scenery, which is home to lush fruit orchards, sheep, goats, and the island's only dairy cows. Santa Gertrudis' is an area steeped in tradition, and the main village square is overlooked by its whitewashed fortress church, which has a distinctive yellow tower. There is a pedestrian-friendly plaza where you'll find plenty in the way of bars, restaurants and shops, so you'll find plenty to see and do here without having to travel further afield if you don't want to.

Santa Gertrudis has a wonderfully family-friendly vibe, where children can be found playing in the beautifully lit square or fabulous playground late into the evening after dining with their families on the terraces. There are little boutiques and arts and crafts shops open day and night here, so visitors can often be seen strolling through the streets long after the sun has gone down, enjoying Santa Gertrudis' sophisticated, bohemian vibe. The village is home to many artists, musicians and sculptors, and you'll find their works everywhere here in the local galleries, and most famously at Bar Costa, where during the hippy era of the 60s, penniless artists would come to swap paintings for food.

Fresh, local produce is very much on the menu here, with the surrounding areas being home to a variety of fruit and vegetable farms that supply the local restaurants and eateries. Whether you're craving classic Spanish tapas, hearty Italian food, or delicious and innovative vegetarian and vegan options, you'll be spoilt for choice during your stay in the village. Oliver recommends dining at Gitano, whose dining terrace is one of the loveliest spots in the village - we suggest making a reservation as it can get quite busy during the summer months! Cocktail lovers will be in their element here, as the restaurant has a long and extensive list to choose from, and the food is first-rate, with a menu that includes ceviche, wonderfully light tempura and the most incredible sushi.
