Waterside is a 100 year old detached cottage over looking the Grand Union canal and is available for short breaks or longer throughout the year.
Located on a working boatyard and is ideal for families and groups. Waterside is just a 20 min walk from shops, pubs and restaurants and only 25 minutes to a leisure centre. Near to the Chiltern Hills and many National Trust properties as well as Woburn Safari Park and Whipsnade Zoo.
Waterside sleeps up to 11 people in 6 bedrooms and we have special three price ranges rates for 1 - 5, 6 - 8, and 9 - 11 guests.
Our facilities include a lounge with oak beams and log burning stove, conservatory and terrace, farmhouse style kitchen and six bedrooms and three bathrooms.
The main lounge has a log burning stove, wooden beams and doors to the conservatory. Included are stereo system, Free-view TV and DVD player. There is also a small attic living room for up to 3 people with a TV and DVD player.
The bedrooms consist of 2 double (one with en-suite) and 2 twin rooms on the ground floor. Attic stairs lead to a to 1 single and 1 twin room with sloping ceilings. All bedding and towels are provided. Travel cot and high chair.
The kitchen is well equipped with gas cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher.
One bathroom is en-suite with WC, 2 basins, bidet, shower, washing machine and dryer. The second bathroom has WC, basin, shower over bath, airing cupboard and heated towel rail. The third bathroom has shower, basin, WC and heated towel rail.
Waterside has the use of the beautiful extensive boat yard gardens and lawns and has a small private back garden with barbecue and picnic bench and a front terrace with table and chairs.
There is parking for up to four cars immediately outside the cottage and further cars can be left in the car park.
Full gas heating and electricity all included.
Logs £8 per basket for the log burning stove.
Please do not bring your own logs as they may not be a suitable size for the fire.
Access to canal frontage (children take care).
Bring your own canoe/dinghy for use on the canal, a license is not required if you are a member of the British Canoe Union.
Buoyancy aids are available.
Fishing - national rod license required. (local day tickets £3) No fishing at boatyard.
We can provide a list of local day boats available for hire.
