Hillside cottage is set on the owners working dairy farm and has been renovated to a very good standard in 2020, an ideal getaway for friends or family alike wanting to explore the Shropshire countryside. The property is situated 1½ miles from Malpas, and the historic city of Chester, with its famous races and excellent selection of bars, shops and restaurants, is just 18 miles away. Other places worth visiting, within easy driving distance, include Chester Zoo, 28 miles, Blue Planet Aquarium, 30 miles and Beeston Castle, 18 miles. Cholmondeley Castle Gardens are 12 miles and Delamere Forest, with its ‘Go Ape’ treetop adventure park, is 20 miles away. North Wales is also very accessible from here, and the popular beach resorts of Rhyl, Prestatyn and Talacre are all within an hour’s drive. The town of Wrexham is 10 miles from the property, you are pretty central at this property to travel throughout England or Wales. Shop and pub 1½ miles, restaurant 2½ miles.

We had such a wonderful stay with Zoe and John and cannot recommend their beautiful home highly enough.From the moment we arrived, it truly felt like a home from home. The property is stunning, comfortable, and perfectly located as a base for exploring North Wales — we were able to discover so many beautiful places with ease.Zoe and John are such a warm, friendly and welcoming family, and it was a pleasure getting to know them during our stay. One of the most special parts of our visit was seeing the bond that developed between our son and their dog Jet — he absolutely adored her and it’s a memory he will treasure for a long time.Another highlight for us was seeing the calves and learning about the dairy. It was such a unique and memorable experience that we will all remember fondly.We feel incredibly lucky to have found such a special place and are already looking forward to returning in the future.Thank you again for such a wonderful stay!

The cottage was clean and comfortable and in a lovely location. John and Zoe were very friendly and helpful. I loved learning how a dairy farm worked and enjoyed meeting some of the cows and the lovely sheep dog Jet.
