Site Description

Kilminorth Cottages is part of our Daisy Door Cottage Style Collection, lovingly restored from former Cornish farm buildings to create an endearing cluster of sleek contemporary cottages just a stone’s throw from eternally popular Looe.

Nestled in a wooded valley, these exquisitely transformed cottages offer old and young alike a slice of the good life. Light, airy, open-plan interiors are enhanced by vibrant splashes of colour, cutting-edge technology and sumptuous beds to offer the ultimate home-from-home comfort and style.

Step outside and you’re immersed in lush gardens hosting both open spaces for family games and cosy ‘secret spots’ for those enjoying romantic breaks. An impressive outdoor swimming pool affording panoramic valley views, all-weather tennis, an outside bar area with seating and fantastic woodland walks are right on the doorstep.

Famous for smugglers, shark fishing and hidden coves, Looe and nearby Polperro host shops, family-friendly restaurants and traditional pubs aplenty. Cornish adventure further afield could take in the renowned Eden Project or surfing at sandy Fistral beach in Newquay.

This holiday was advertised as a luxury cottage with hot tub. It was far from luxury. The dinning table was very badly marked with miss matched chairs, two leather and 4 metal, the sofas were extremely uncomfortable very low down with thin seat cushions that slid forward whenever you tried to get off, not suitable for someone with joint problems. But the biggest issue was the hot tub only one seating position had all the jets working, when mentioned was its hot and a tub and some jets work so what more do you want, very rude, then was told they were waiting for jets. The bathroom door was badly bent and you could see in the lower part, when mention was told by one person it looked like a dog had been shut in and tried to bang there way out as their was also scratches and bite marks on it, but then was told it was because its an old building however, all others fitted perfectly. The kitchen was well laid out however, advertised with fridge/freezer and it had a small fridge with a freezer box.On the upside the beds were lovely and comfortable with good quality bedding, the location is lovely and quite, the grounds are well kept and most of the staff were friendly.I do however worry about the covid cleaning as I went to open a window and jabbed my finger on a broken key which should have been picked up while cleaning. The overall cottage was lovely and clean.
