The National Trust-owned Penrose Estate – a lovely spot for a walk or cycle, leads from Helston down to Loe Bar and the beautiful south coast. Swallow Cottage is ideally located for couples and small families looking for a real escape to the countryside.
Helston lies at the western gateway to the Lizard Peninsula, where there is lots to explore, from quaint traditional fishing villages to a spectacular coastline and some forgotten coves and beaches. Helston is a pleasant busy market town famous for its Flora Day Festival and Furry Dance which happens in May.
