Guests say

Primrose Cottage is a well-equipped and comfortable holiday rental in a peaceful location, ideal for exploring the Cotswolds. Guests appreciate the quiet village setting, proximity to attractions, and the cosy atmosphere, particularly the conservatory and well-appointed kitchen. While some minor cleanliness and maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is very positive.

Most guests found the cottage clean, particularly noting the kitchen and main living areas. However, some guests mentioned that certain areas, like the conservatory and skirting boards, could benefit from a deeper clean. The garden and patio furniture also received comments about being slightly unkempt.

The cottage is praised for its quiet village location, convenient for visiting nearby Cotswold towns and attractions. While the immediate area lacks amenities, the proximity to Bourton-on-the-Water is appreciated. Some guests noted the nearby busy road and narrow footpaths as a concern for walking.

Guests consistently describe their stays as comfortable, with a cosy atmosphere and a well-equipped kitchen. The beds and living spaces are commended for their comfort, although one guest mentioned a preference for showering in the larger bathroom due to the size of the en suite.

The cottage's facilities are generally well-received, with a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable furnishings. However, some guests were disappointed by the lack of TVs in bedrooms and the presence of a small TV only suitable for games. Additionally, some areas were noted as needing attention and maintenance.

There are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate the level of thoughtfulness. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Lovely cottage with good size living/dining space - comfy sofas and a tv with access to Disney and Netflix. Kitchen is good size and able to cook dinners from scratch - wish it had an air fryer!! The heating is easy to work and has several hot baths! Towels provided are good size and beds are very comfy. Perfect spot to unwind after exploring local areas - 30min walk to Burton on Water, get the 802 bus back and stops at Village Hall which is 2 min walk back to the cottage. Would definitely return to the cottage another time as excellent location to explore further afield. Plenty of local attractions suitable for all ages and plenty of pubs and cafes to visit for some yummy food and drinks. Cottage also comes with boards games, books and Lego! The cottage was clean but could do with a little spruce but just shows it is regularly used. I would suggest putting a door number on a garage as didn’t want to park in the wrong spot. If there is a second car coming on this trip there is a spot to park just at the top of the road. As a family we had a lovely time chilling and enjoying each others company. Thank you!

Well appointed and well equipped cottage in lovely quiet village. Very handily situated for visiting Cotswold towns and villages such as Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water, Moreton-in-Marsh etc, and only about 45 minutes from Oxford. Helpful instructions for equipment and where to park.

Easy to find via postcode Lovely area very quiet, although no amenities in the actual village it’s a short drive to Bourton-on-the-Water with everything you need.Very well equipped kitchen, comfy bed, nice white towels, didn’t use the log burner but still very cosy with heating on.Disappointed there are no tv’s in any bedroom as pictures implies there are, there was one small tv in a bedroom that can only be used for games. We discovered a broken chair which we reported by email and had a prompt polite reply.Would have scored it higher but some area’s clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while, it could be a housekeeping issue but a good deep clean wouldn’t go amissOverall a pleasant stay
