Head up to the first floor and put the kids to bed in the twin bedroom which has lovely dual aspect windows overlooking the garden, before heading to the welcoming bathroom to enjoy a calming bath, and retreating to the stylish double master bedroom which contains a handy freestanding triple wardrobe to hang your garments.

In the morning, head downstairs into the delightful enclosed garden, which has a lovely lawn area bordered by flowers and shrubs, with plenty of seating and a barbecue to take advantage of when the sun is shining.

You are in a prime location at North House, with Bourton-on-the-Water regularly voted one of the prettiest villages in England and known as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’, home to a wealth of attractions and shops, restaurants and tea rooms, such as Cotswolds Antiques and Tea Room which is just next door which holds an ever-expanding inventory of antiques, collectables and retro items and offers lovely nibbles to enjoy. A fun day out is at trip to Birdland Park and Gardens where you can surround yourself by wildlife, or have some fun at the miniature replica of the Cotswold stone village at The Model Village.

Take a trip to Lower Slaughter which is widely regarded as one of England's most beautiful villages and is home to The Slaughters Country Inn which is a well-regarded, quintessential country inn, offering lovely food and drinks or to Stow-on-the-Wold which is the highest of the Cotswold villages, and is a small market town with an array of boutique shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants; indulge in a bite to eat and drinks at The Stag at Stow, or revel in the scrumptious tea and cakes at The Old Bakery Tea Room.

Visit Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens where you will find over 250 species of animals and be inspired by the beautiful landscaping and seasonal displays throughout the park in nearby Burford, known as Southern “gateway to the Cotswolds”.
