Tucked in the folds of the beautiful Cotswold hills is the little hamlet of Compton Abdale. The newly renovated Studio is at the end of a private drive, set in a secluded position, with exclusive use of a terrace overlooking open countryside. Compton Abdale is equidistance from Cheltenham Spa, the Roman town of Cirencester and the medieval town of Burford. There are an abundance of walks radiating from this peaceful hamlet, with a variety of scenic views, flora and fauna to be experienced from the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The National Trust Roman Villa is within a 3 miles walking distance and the wonderful Stowell Park Estate is within 4 miles.

The nearest market town is Northleach, at the junction of the A40 and Fosse Way (A429). Here, find fine food at The Wheatsheaf Inn, a speciality butchers, a fantastic wine bar, several shops and the glorious 12th century wool church of St Peter and St Paul, historically known as the ‘Cathedral of the Cotswolds’. The area boasts numerous art galleries and cultural attractions. Within a 10 mile radius there are a good selection of places to eat, as well as the many restaurants waiting to be tried out in nearby towns. There are many beautiful gardens a short drive away including Snowshill, Kiftsgate and Sezincote, and for those wishing to venture a little further afield the city of Oxford with its prestigious university and breath-taking architecture, can be reached within an hour's drive.
