As you enter into the gated driveway, you are welcomed by three parking spaces, as you unload your luggage and get ready to enter into your wonderful home-from-home abode.

Three steps lead you down to the French doors, which open into the stunning farmhouse-style living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area, complete with exposed wooden beams on a high vaulted ceiling and smart, tiled heating flooring, which featured in Country Homes & Interiors Magazine, described as ‘simply idyllic’! You can unload any groceries you have purchased on your way into the American-style fridge/freezer and look forward to making use of the fantastic appliances, such as the AGA, kitchen aid, electric oven and induction hob, to rustle up a heart-warming meal for you and your loved ones.

The room is a great socialising space, with ample seating space including an island with two stools, a wooden dining table for ten gests and a large L-shaped sofa, so uncork a bottle of wine, keep the little ones entertained with the selection of children’s games, and get stuck into a competitive board game, whilst listening to some tunes on the DAB radio with Bluetooth speaker.

Retreat into the spacious and elegant sitting room to relax of an evening, sat at the shabby chic furniture, whilst catching up on your favourite show on the wall-mounted Smart TV.

For some peace and quiet away from the rest of the group, make your way through the sliding door in the sitting room, into the homely snug, where you can watch a film on the wall-mounted Smart TV from the comfort of the sofa, which doubles up as a 4ft sofa bed on request.

A handy utility room and a cloakroom sit adjacent to the ground-floor bedroom, which contains a dark wooden single sleigh bed.

Upstairs, the first-floor hosts four bedrooms and two bathrooms; the master overlooks the garden through dual aspect windows and contains an eye-catching colonial-style four-poster super-king-size bed from which you can snuggle into and watch the Freeview TV, the second bedroom is a bright and airy room with a double bed, and the third and fourth bedrooms have single beds.

Indulge amongst the bubbles in the freestanding bath in the bathroom, or enjoy an invigorating rinse in the walk-in shower in the shower-room, both benefitting from warming underfloor heating.

A further staircase leads up to the fifth bedroom in the eaves of the property, which has a high vaulted ceiling and exposed beams, with a super-king-size bed that is zip/link and can be made up to twin beds on request.

When the sun rises, treat your guests to a heart-warming, home-cooked breakfast to be enjoyed alfresco style (if the weather allows!), in the beautifully maintained gardens that surround the property, with a seating area, manicured lawns, potted flowers, leafy shrubs, luscious green mature trees and a heavenly scented rose garden.

The little ones will be delighted with the children’s play area in the garden, home to a climbing frame, swings, a slide, a trampoline and a sandpit!

Into the afternoon, make use of the charcoal barbecue and fire pit, and if the timing’s right, you can sample the produce from the well-tended greenhouse and vegetable patch to flavour your culinary delights!

A gated archway through the back hedge leads to the orchard which comprises medlar, plum, pear and cherry trees, and wildflowers flourish here which attract wildlife to this part of the garden.

Laurel Tree Cottage is surrounded by the glorious scenery of the North Cotswolds, and the quaint village is home to two well-regarded country pubs, The Hollow Bottom and Farmers Arms, where you can get some time away from home-cooking and dine in a wonderful setting. You will find a tea room next to the local Post Office, which also serves food throughout the day.

The friendly locals who live and work in the area are welcoming and create a lovely community atmosphere, and in the heart of the village there is a park with a playing field, swings, sandpit and zip wire, making it a great spot for families.

Head over to Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park that sits on the outskirts of the village, with lots of activities for children of all ages to enjoy.

The market town of Winchcombe is just a short drive away, home to the historic, Grade l listed Sudeley Castle, as well as many walking trails, including part of the 100-mile Cotswold Way trail, guiding you through the wonders of the Cotswolds, where the next stop from Winchcombe is Cleeve Hill, sat at 330 metres above sea level, offering stunning views.

The Regency town of Cheltenham is within easy reach from the cottage, offering an array of shops, eateries and attractions, from compelling shows at Everyman Theatre to guided tours around the historical the town, to alfresco dining and beer gardens, to retail therapy at Regent Arcade shopping centre!

Further afield you will find Stratford-upon-Avon, where you can explore the wonders of Henley Street and visit Shakespeare’s birthplace, before taking a leisurely row down the River Avon and finishing your day with a wonderful dinner at one of the many restaurants on offer.
