The heart of this wonderful home has to be the bright and spacious open-plan kitchen with dining area. Re-designed and extended in 2024, this modern space is filled with light from both the large glazed sliding doors leading outside to the terrace, and the stylish glazed roof area with a feature Cotswolds stone wall, a covered well with ambient lighting and a bistro set to sit and bask in the sunshine and light from above. This lovely spot links the kitchen to the ground floor bedroom, complete with en-suite wet room. The sleek kitchen is fully equipped for even the keenest chef with twin eye level ovens and the all important espresso coffee machine. A breakfast bar separates the cooking space from the contemporary dining area, in front of which a spot has been reserved in front of the sliding doors for a reclining lounge chair and footstool, creating yet another indoor sunbathing opportunity. When darkness falls, retire to the spacious but cosy sitting room complete with inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove, and plenty of comfortable seating to stretch out. Completing the ground floor accommodation are a useful study with desk and day bed, and a cloakroom/WC.
Upstairs you will find two further bedrooms with beautiful exposed beams, along with a spacious family bathroom with walk-in shower and a luxurious double ended, free-standing slipper bath for that spa like feel.
Southrop village, near Lechlade is famous for its Grade I listed 12th Century church, St. Peters; its beautiful Cotswold stone buildings, village green, cricket pitch and The Swan, a 17th Century village pub, all of which are within walking distance of Culls Cottage.
