"S19925 was lovely. It was in a great location, and was really cosy and comfortable. The cottage itself was a coach-house style barn with beautiful exposed beams in the lounge. The only negative feedback would be that there were quite a lot of flies (both dead and alive), and the heating was fixed to a very high setting so the cottage was too hot. However, those two minor things didn't really impact our stay and we would definitely return!"

"Comfortable cottage in excellent location for attractions and local pubs."
jacqueline – 17 Sep 2018
"Location great so many attractions to visit within short distance. Cottage homely and comfortable set in beautiful grounds with herons, egrets and ducks real a treat to view from kitchen window."
Antoinette – 31 Aug 2018
"Beautiful location. We loved watching the wildlife while having breakfast every morning. The owners were very friendly and happy for us to take a walk in the grounds. The cottage isn't far from the coast and several other places we wanted to visit."
Mr – 17 Aug 2018
"Pretty, rural location, and close to many good attractions. Lovely sitting room too. However:1) Fridge dirty on arrival.2) Very limited information indeed on either the cottage or locality (e.g. decent pubs, walks, attractions, shops, etc).3) Double bed mattress tired. Either needs turning or replacing.4) Guttering overflows in rain, so entering and exiting is then through a waterfall.5) Copper bottomed pans are not suitable for induction hobs. All took an age to heat up.6) Shower temperature control erratic, and limited hot water one day.7) Not great directions to find the cottage. Good thing it was light."

"The cups were tea stained, switches grubby, cobwebs, think it could do with a complete deep clean , loved the cottage it’s a shame about the above !"

"Great cottage, fully equipped, was super warm and cosy and in a great location for local attractions - monkey world, tank museum, beaches etc. Lovely views, parking right outside the door and felt very private."

"Stunning , peaceful setting. The cottage is large with everything you could possibly want. The owners live close by and are welcoming and helpful. The nearest shop is 5 minutes drive away and is a village store so advisable to take provisions with you."

"Tired and tatty, furnishings not clean."
David – 9 Jun 2017
"Magnificent setting and ideally located for exploring Dorset.Everything you need for a comfortable holiday and the upstairs lounge was a big plus. Hoped to use the bedroom with the twin beds but the noise from the boiler in the adjacent barn was overbearing particularly at the dead of night."

"Lovely setting by river and very quiet. Good attractions within comfortable drive - what ever you fancy. Local shops very poorHaving sitting room upstairs/bedrooms down took some getting used to but not a problem"
"We were visiting the tank museum at Bovington and the cottage was 5min away! The cottage was value for money, we were expecting somewhere small and we got a large cottage that was great for our family of 4!!"
"A charming cottage very well appointed and in an excellent location to discover Dorset. Our third visit and we'll stay again."
"Nice cottage , beautiful grounds, right in the middle of local attractions. Downturn only poorly equipped kitchen and flies and spiders. Too many."
"A lovely cottage and a really friendly and helpful owner. The one problem we had was having lots of flies in the house with it being the summer and having the pond so close."
"S19925 excelled our expectations. The grounds were so beautiful and our kids so enjoyed the space to play in. The cottage is very comfortable and in a great location to explore this amazing part of the country. We'd love to come back!"
"Very nice cottage. Larger than we required but only one available in the area we required at the time of booking."
"This property is in a lovely peaceful spot and excellent for visiting Swanage, Weymouth, Dorchester and West Bay. Some of the furniture could do with an upgrade but we have been four times now as we love the peace it offers."
"Fantastic location for all the best places to go, cottage absolutely perfect. The owner was a lovely lady who invited us to walk wherever we wanted on her land. The perfect holiday."
"This is the first time we stayed at this lovely cottage. We were made most welcome in this charming peaceful home with all modern facilities within. It was a nice homely comfortable stay. It was just a pity that we were here for a short stay. We would love to return for a longer stay! Thank you for making us so welcome. The cottage is well located for the wonders of the Purbecks."
"There are always issues when staying in accommodation but it was how badly they were addressed by the elderly owner that was particularly disappointing. Threadbare sheets smelling of damp were not replaced and I had to launder them myself. There is no instruction book to explain how the combo washer/dryer worked. No information about nearby amenities like grocery shops and no welcome pack, not even a pint of milk. All suggests the owners are out of touch with current standards in self catering accommodation."
"for us it was the perfect location, and we sure we shall visit here again."
"A lovely cottage, spacious, comfortable and in delightful setting by a pond/small lake. Had great views of kingfisher, heron, egret, mallards and other small birds. Easy location for visiting many places and were fascinated by the Tank museum !! Would definitely stay here again. 10 out of 10 !!!"
"An outstanding location, well equipped cottage. Well recommended."
"A lovely peaceful setting with helpful owners nearby to assist if needed. Great for visiting Weymouth, Swanage Bridport and West Bay."
"lovely location. very pretty grounds. confortable homely cottage."
"Wonderful location. It was like having your own private nature reserve. The cottage was spacious and very comfortable. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here."

"Perfect location and an idyllic and pretty cottage. There are plenty of great places to visit within easy distance and the cottage and its plot are themselves a very pleasant spot to relax in.The owners were helpful, friendly and generous in allowing my family to play on their large lawn and walk around their fields and ponds. Our only critisism was of dirt and dust in the cottage and an abundance of dog mess (one morning beside our car) in the grounds."
"Comfortable and pleasing cottage accomodation made for an enjoyable holiday .Don't expect too much for the garden."
"What a beautiful spot. Truly idyllic. The cottage is great - really spacious and well equipped. The photos don't do it justice at all (a couple of new bed spreads would make all the difference). The owners were kind enough to leave us some really good age-appropriate books and toys for our toddler which helped us manage the amount of stuff we had to bring (thank you!). The grounds around the cottage are gorgeous. We saw ducks, swans and geese on the pond, a deer in the garden, and our son caught his first tadpoles in the stream. The cottage is a half hour drive from the seaside, with many lovely family-friendly beaches. And if you have a little one, Peppa Pig World is only an hour away! I couldn't recommend it any more highly (although if you have a very mobile and curious toddler you'd need to keep a close eye on them as the pond is very close to the cottage entrance). We had a wonderful holiday and may well return again as it's the perfect place for a family break."
"An outstanding cottage."
"Beautiful setting. Property could do with updating furnishings eg: bedding, bathroom and glasses. All very clean, lovely and warm. Good central location for visiting surrounding area."
"very quiet and beautiful location. cottage had eveything we needed"
"Beautiful location, very peaceful. The photographs of this cottage do not do it justice. The cottage is very spacious with a well positioned living room over looking the pond, beautiful gardens and surrounding countryside."

"A very cosy cottage with very helpful owners. Good base to visit Weymouth, Lyme Regis, Dorchester, Swanage, Poole and West Bay. Lots of fields to walk around on owners farm."
"S19925 is cosy yet spacious. Furniture was comfortable and decorations were in good order. Its best feature is the beamed upstairs lounge which has a splendid view over the grounds and seating for ten. There is a small patio beside the cottage and guests have access to the field beyond the mill pond. The cottage is situated down a lane from the road between Bere Regis and Wool, and is 15 minutes' drive from Lulworth Cove. We found the cottage very attractive, and would recommend it to anyone wishing to spend time in Dorset."
"Good sized cottage in a great location for exploring Dorset. We had a great week and would stay again. However, in previous cottages that we have stayed in there was a welcome pack which included milk etc so that we could make a cuppa after our long journey. Unfortunately there wasn't anything like that here. The water pressure wasn't particularly good either so taking a shower proved disappointing!! Finally removing cobwebs and dead spiders would have been nice! All in all though, it is a lovely cottage."
"This holiday cottage was everything and more than we expected, location was great pull back the curtains and look out to fields with a river and a pond outside the door. Our hosts were very friendly and helpfull, we will be coming back in the future."

"A great base as you have so much near by. Aug 2011."
Previous guest
"The cottage and surroundings were lovely. It would of been nice if the village had been a bit bigger as there was a pub and a couple of shops in Bere Regis. The sign for the cottage at the entrance was not very well placed and could not be seen until you was upon it. It was dark green and blended in with the foliage. It was very peaceful there and we would go again. June 2011."
