Cosy Beaminster Cottage sleeping up to 5 guests

In the middle of glorious scenic and unspoilt West Dorset, in the small village of Broadwindsor, with its very own Craft Centre for cream teas and local craft, this end terrace cottage for five, is a great base to unwind from the fast pace of life. The cottage has its own parking and enclosed garden to the rear and is within easy driving down to the famous World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Enjoy some fantastic coastal scenery and walking, fossil hunting with your children, swimming, boating and fishing from one of the picturesque seaside resorts. West Bay and Lyme Regis are great examples, or try one of the smaller places such as Burton Bradstock, Eype, Sea Town and Charmouth, all will offer a great break. South Somerset is within easy driving and has some great family attractions at the Fleet Air Arm Museum, The Haynes Motor Museum and on to Clarks Factory Village and the magical Glastonbury Tor. Nearby if you just fancy strolling around the shops, maybe trying some restaurants or maybe a market, then the quaint town of Beaminster and the old market rope town of Bridport, with its old character shops are well worth a call. "Found the cottage very comfortable and relaxing, the amenities in the village were very good and the enclosed garden very good for the dogs. The only personal point is that there did not seem to be any public transport from the village into Bridport, which I cannot remember whether that was pointed out in the information or if it is something I overlooked. The Toaster on the lefthand side did not work, not a problem for us but might be for a family of 4.Also when I came to use the hover it had not been emptied for a couple of weeks, would suggest the caretaker checks on that.I would suggest it to other people it is just I have been diagnosed with a condition that if anything were to happen would leave us without transport."

"Directions not clear if arriving from the west.Cottage clean and location excellent. Beds a bit too firm for our party. Very difficult for 5 adults to watch the TV together comfortably. Problems were dealt with promptly and courteously."
Cristina – 21 May 2018
"Very nice cottage, excellent location for exploring Dorset and the Jurassic Coast. The house is very clean and overall well equipped, dog friendly, with a good information book and several leaflets to give you an idea about the sort of entertaining Dorset offers. We had a great holiday exploring around Dorset and relaxing at the cottage in the evenings."
Vanessa – 28 Apr 2018
"This cottage is a lovely place. It is situated in a good place for easy access to a lot of lovely places to visit. It has everything that you need for a good self catering cottage. It had a lovely enclosed garden for my little dog. The only little niggle i have got about the cottage is that the beds were quite uncomfortable, but you cannot please everybody. I will visit again."

"We had a great week staying in S57754 - it was very clean, very well-equipped and within easy drive of Charmouth & Dorchester.Only negative- mattresses were uncomfortable."

"A lovely clean and cosy cottage. Great location for walkers and lots of things to see and do within easy driving distance. Perfect for dog owners. Highly recommended."
Roberts – 7 Apr 2017
"S57754 was ideal for us and our 2 children, was spacious enough for the week. It was immaculately presented. The housekeeper and owner bent over backwards for us when we had a few queries. Had benefit of wifi. Only missed not having a dishwasher. Car parking was a bit tight so we found reversing in made it easier! Overall it really was lovely and peaceful, suited our needs. We would return."
"The property could really benefit from having a dishwasher. The fridge is far too small with a tiny icebox! They have the space to add a larger fridge/freezer and put a dishwasher where the current fridge is. We arrived in the dark & it was annoying that they didn't have any PIR sensor lights in either the drive or back garden, they are definitely needed!!!There were no recycling facilities at the property, ALL rubbish/waste (including dog poo) went in one bag outside the front door, a dustbin or wheelie bin would be better!"
"a lovely break in a nice house in a very quiet village. the friendly pub nearby only served food Wednesday to Saturday which meant travelling into Bridport to find a meal."
"This was a lovely clean cottage, the people in the village were friendly. We found the location great for visiting all around Dorset. This was a cottage recently added we found it had everything we needed for an enjoyable and comfortable holiday."

"We stayed there with three children and a dog and had a very good time."
"Lovely house in a lovely village. Facilities in the house were excellent. Local pub very friendly and lovely curry night every 2nd Friday. Little community run shop in the village for last minute essentials open until 6pm each day. All in all a great place to stay."
