Electricity (available on request from reception area). Gas, bed linen and towels included. Cool box. Barbecue (initial coal, kindling and a fire-lighter provided, additional available at a cost). Hot tub (private, 2 nights £55, 3 to 4 nights £75, £125 for a week, paid to the owner upon request). Logs for hot tub included.Meditation area (shared on-site). 3/4 acre private grassland. Parking. No smoking.. This beautiful oak-clad hut offers a unique glamping experience with selection of home comforts including a cosy wood-burning stove, functional kitchen, en-suite hot shower and even your own tv yet is completely self-contained. Set within a secluded meadow of flourishing grassland and wildflowers, interspersed with mown paths and native trees, this is a place to get away from the humdrum of life and experience the tranquillity of nature.

There is a good sense of privacy around Ryeland hut, due to the natural screening and planting all around. There is a Gazebo, covered seating area and picnic table. There are currently just two structures onsite which are well spread out from one another but could equally make a perfect getaway for friends wanting to be together but with their own private facilities

There is a small shop located on the farm with a range of gift items and our own branded food items such as preserves, BBQ relish, picnic pickles and chutneys, cereals, crisps, snacks, and Belvoir Presse bottled drinks, ECO Chic cool bags, picnic blankets, bamboo cups, BBQ coal and other items.

Brook Farm is home to a selection of lovely animals including two Arabian horses, two ponies, pet sheep - one of which is a Coloured Ryeland which the hut is named after - chickens and Golden Retrievers Barley and Jack. A range of holistic therapies in the Walnut Barn, are available on site. A lightly used footpath runs nearby giving instant access to Tiptree or Messing village where there is a pub serving great food.

Bourne Mill National Trust is close by, the mill was originally built as a fishing lodge in 1591 and features stepped “Dutch” gables. There is a millpond and some of the machinery, including the waterwheel which is intact and working and also Colchester Zoo.

Ryeland Hut (QU7632) can be booked with Shepherds Belle & Croft Hut (QU7633) to accommodate up to 4 guests subject to availability

The owners can provide transport for guest's luggage, please contact the owner to arrange.

Please contact the owner at least 7 nights prior to arrival to arrange hot tub. Logs for the hot tub will be provided by the owner and left near the hot tub.

It’s a log burning tub, we would supply enough logs for it for the duration booked and can start it so it’s ready for their arrival. It also has nearby for the guests sole use a mini shepherd hut with shower and waterless toilet, wash basin, outside picnic table.We may put the bell tent up as a relaxation area with a massage couch so people can chill in there or book a treatment with me as a further add on. At the moment though it is just what I’ve mentioned. The tub on the decking, shepherd hut shower and loo which does have cutlery and crockery, folding chairs. Outside a large picnic table and parasol.
