Set in rural Essex on a livery, ideal for couples to use as a touring base with a small courtyard with stunning countryside views. The high ceilings give the barn a great light and airy feel with ground floor open plan living area. A downstairs double bedroom with exposed beams and en-suite shower room, there is also a shower room that leads off the dining area. Upstairs a further bedroom with zip and link beds, a window into the barn next door and en-suite shower with exposed beams. Above the kitchen area, a galleried level offering a day bed with trundle bed underneath.
Nearby attractions include Saffron Walden, this medieval market town is rich in history where a market has been held since 1141, now held on a Tuesday and Saturday. There are several garden and trails to follow. Audley End House and Gardens is a great day out, where you can explore the mansion house, visit the glorious gardens or discover life as a Victorian servant. Shop 5 miles, pub 1 mile and restaurant 2 miles.

Lovely barn conversion in the middle of a working farm. Definitely need a car to stay here, the scenery is amazing, we saw a herd of deer in the fields a couple of times and enjoyed a walk around the fields. They have thought of everything you need to stay and the hosts were very friendly and welcoming but not at all intrusive. Would definitely book again, we all enjoyed our stay, thank you! Also the plough restaurant comes highly recommended by us for food and cocktails 😊

A delightful place, very well equipped, a friendly owner, but an unusual aroma in the downstairs ensuite bathroom. It didn't spoil our stay and we would return.
