The hamlet only has eight houses including a working hill farm and the cottage itself is an excellent barn conversion, dating back several hundred years. Its location in a peaceful rural community contrasts with Keswick’s bustling activity with its shops, markets, museums, theatre and cinema only a short drive away.

The cottage is equipped to the highest level with all the comforts you would expect in your own home. The spacious beamed lounge with its cosy wood burning stove has a picture window giving magnificent views up tot he top of Catbells, one of the Lake District’s most popular fells. In fact there are truly stunning views all round and you can walk from the doorstep onto the fells that form the Newlands Round or alternatively enjoy relaxing low level walks in the Valley or by the lakeshore.
