You have easy access to the towns of Cockermouth, the birthplace of William Wordsworth and Keswick, with its abundance of pubs, restaurants and shopping experiences. High Lorton is very popular with walkers and cyclists thanks to its easy access to some amazing walks and cycle routes including the Whinlatter Visitor Centre, 4 miles. With free access to England’s only true mountain forest, rising 1000ft above sea level, it provides a range of activities for all ages from forest mountain trails to the high rope adventure course, Go Ape.
