This spacious, semi-detached cottage is located in the small hamlet of Silecroft, on the beautiful west coast of Cumbria, just eight miles from Broughton-in-Furness in the fabulous Lake District National Park. This lovely Silecroft cottage has some charming features including beams, exposed stonework and a secluded garden, meaning that families or couples can enjoy a delightful holiday in this pretty, seaside location. The woodburning stove in the sitting room at this cottage near Broughton-in-Furness is sure to be a favourite during chilly evenings, whilst also on the ground floor is a kitchen/diner and shower room, and on the first floor are two charming bedrooms and bathroom. The village of Silecroft is on the West Coast branch line on which you can travel up the Cumbrian coast to Carlisle, from where you may wish to spend time on the Settle-Carlisle railway, which boasts some stunning views. The village also has an excellent pub serving food on most days and horses from the local riding stable clip-clop past this Lake District cottage before venturing onto the beach. The beach provides an ideal place for a bracing stroll and you may wish to walk to the summit of Black Combe Hill to appreciate the wonderful country and sea views. This Silecroft cottage is a lovely base for a holiday at any time of the year, with excellent varied attractions, as well as the whole of the Lake District National Park, all within reach.
The small hamlet of Silecroft is situated on Cumbrias west coast, within the Lake District National Park. The hamlet offers a pub, riding stable and a railway line, from where you can travel up to as far as Carlisle. Less than five miles away is the town of Millom, and Broughton-in-Furness is also close by, plus Coniston Water and Windermere are within driving distance.
