Tucked away in the grounds of the Victorian Villa of Harecroft Hall is Gosforth, Cumbria, is this idyllic studio-style pod, Pod 1. Enjoying a superb location in the Lake District National Park, with hiking and cycling opportunities aplenty, Pod 1 is a fantastic pet-friendly choice for a couple and their pooch. A beautiful garden greets you upon arrival where you will find a fire pit, picnic bench and barbecue, perfect for alfresco dining, along with a bubbling hot tub for relaxing soaks under the stars. Step into the open-plan living space, where you will find a small kitchenette with microwave and fridge, as well as a dining table for four where you can savour meals as you recount the days adventures with loved ones.
After dinner, curl up on the plush sofa bed and select a film to watch from the 30” Smart TV with Freeview as the evening’s entertainment. After a day a day of exploring all the Lake District National Park has to offer, freshen up in the beautifully tiled shower room, before climbing into the sumptuous double bed to catch your rest. The small community of Gosforth situated amongst magnificent Lakeland landscape and consists of a scattering of mediaeval cottages, farm homes, and pubs offering decent food. The community forges links far back into the history books and proudly shows the tallest, and oldest Viking Cross in England, and the church has many treasures not least the spectacular Hogsback Tombs. Some of England's highest mountains, including Scafell and Great Gable and Hard Knott and Harter Fell and Muncaster Fell are nearby, as are some of its most beautiful valleys. You can visit Muncaster Castle, the World Owl Centre, and the Ravenglass to Eskdale miniature train, among other places. This fantastic location provides everything for everyone.

What an amazing place to stay, the pod was definitely the best ive stayed in so far, the hot tub was lush, the only downside to it all was we had to go home :,( wud deffo recommend at least 3 nights 2 was not enough

Some hooks and a mirror would be helpful in the bathroom.

It's perfect location. The hot tub is amazing and we have been here twice and just loved it. But a few things that would really improve the pod. Is a mirror im the bathroom. For shaving especially. And some hob rings. A pair of two in the kitchen For some home cooking. It would be really nice to be able to make something like pasta at the pod would really improve the experience. The only reason I marked down on the comfort is the dining room table on the pod actually hurts to sit on, it could use sanding down as its so sharp maybe some cusions . But for the price I would highly recommend. We will definatly go back tony is a great host. And for the price it's 100% a great experience. So a big thank you, and we will be back in a few years definitely.
