Everything was very comfortable to spend a week in. We enjoyed the views from the upstairs windows. Walks from the door are great. Plenty of equipment in the kitchen. All in all an excellent cottage.

It was a lovely cottage with great views. It had great access to the lakes and loads of fantastic walks. The cottage had a freeze and washing machine which was really helpful. You are only 3.4 miles from Cockermouth which is a lovely town with supermarkets. You are 13 minutes from lows water and Crummock water which you can walk around and paddle board. Also, a little further along is Buttermere which has many walks around it some flat others up the fells.I would most definitely recommend the cottage.

Melbreak was a beautiful cottage with everything we needed. The view from the upstairs windows were great. We stayed here to enjoy the western fells, this cottage is located perfectly for Buttermere, Cockermouth and a short drive away from Keswick. We would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.
