Feel instantly welcomed by the property's tasteful interior, it comes with unique reverse-level accommodation meaning that both the beautifully finished king-size and twin bedrooms are found on the ground floor. Also on this level you will find an immaculate, brightly tiled bathroom offering the choice of a bath and a walk-in shower cubicle. The living area thoughtfully rests on the first floor of the cottage as it makes the most of the natural light flooding in from the Velux windows. Comforting and open-plan, this layout has all that you need from a fully-equipped and first class kitchen to a snug seating area for all to enjoy, plus attractive exposed beams bring a sense of charm to the place. To the outside of Carpenters Cottage, you’ll find a truly serene spot to sit out and enjoy a refreshing drink, or perhaps even a tasty alfresco meal. The lovely market town of Cockermouth lies just one mile away, the birthplace of William Wordsworth, is packed with charm as well as a multitude of wonderful spots to eat, drink and shop. Visitors of all tastes will find this an ideal holiday base as walkers and cyclists can explore the magnificent Lake District, while the idyllic Solway Coast is also readily available. The main attraction of the area is the scenery and walking in the northern lakes – Bassenthwaite Lake, Ennerdale Water and Derwent Water are among the finest. Keswick is just 13 miles away and is worth a look.
