Solway escape was lovely from the moment you step in the door, it is situated away from the hustle and bustle so a car is needed, some walks from the lodge and a coffee shop but that is all, there is road noise but not a problem for us, only thing missing was a clothes airer.

This is the second time we have visited Meadow retreat in Moota. Lovely clean lodge with everything we needed for a self catering stay. Access to the coast is within minutes drive and all the lakes are accessible easily from this location. The site is superbly well maintained and we are now even thinking of acquiring our own lodge there.

Caravan was very good and very clean inside. The outside could have done with a clean. well equipped and very spacious, would have benefited from an Iron and board, also an airer or something to dry clothes with.The point lost comes from the mattress in the master, have travelled all over the world and this beats everything for uncomfortable, was very hard. Also the constant sound of traffic passing 15ft away at 60mph+ made it difficult to get to sleep, then starts again at 5 am. Due to the bed we left a night early.
