Arrival Information: Darwin Escapes check-in’s are available from 16:00. If you are likely to arrive later than 18:00, please call our resort reception team on 01768 776 510 to let them know.
Please note any guests under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Departure Information: Check out time is at 10:00am on the day of your departure. Darwin Escapes kindly ask that you leave your accommodation as you found it.
Hot Tub Information: Please note due to water change and maintenance your hot tub may not be up to the correct temperature when you first arrive. By using the hot tub you are agreeing to Darwin Escapes’ terms and conditions, and agreeing that you have read their hot tub safety information, found here.
Travel Cot Hire: You can request a travel cot on your booking. Please note you must bring your own mattress and bedding for the cot. Please note travel costs may not fit in double/master bedrooms in selected units, please call reception on 01768 776 510 for more information if a cot is needed.
Pets: Please make sure that you have included your pet in your booking. If your pet is not included, Darwin Escapes will either relocate you to a pet-friendly lodge, if there is one available, or holds the right to refuse access to the resort. You may be liable for any charges incurred.
Resort Facilities: Keswick Reach’s facilities are currently working at a reduced capacity and pre-booking for any spa treatments or food at the restaurant is essential. Please book by calling the resort reception on 01768 776 510. The gym can be used by people over 16 years old only. Young adults between the ages of 16 - 18 must be accompanied by an adult when in the gym. You can access the gym by visiting reception, you may be asked for a fully refundable deposit.

Arrival Information: Check-in is available from 16:00. To make your check in as smooth, quick and easy as possible, we’d like to request you call ahead for specific arrival information and to inform our reception team of your car registration number in advance of your arrival, particularly if you’re arriving outside of normal working hours. Travel cot hire: You can request a travel cot on your booking. Please note, there is no bedding provided and the mattresses are folding, thin and firm and is provided by manufacturer. We require you to follow the safety instructions, which state not to use a secondary mattress or any padded bedding such as pillows or quilts. You must bring your own bedding (e.g infant sleep bags). Please contact reception for mattress dimensions should you require. For further information on safe sleeping in travel cots please refer to information available from sites such as the Lullaby Trust. Important travel COT information Manufacturers instructions are provided at the point of issue and cots are cleaned in line with these after each use. Please also be aware that travel cots may not fit in double/master bedrooms in selected units, please call reception on 01768 776 510 for more information if a cot is needed.
Bathrobes: Bathrobes are available to hire for £5.00 per bathrobe. Please note: Bathrobes are only available on a request basis when you arrive at the park.
Hot Tubs in Premier Accommodation: Please be aware the hot tub may not be up to temperature when you first arrive due to water change and maintenance.
Additional Information: Please note that BBQ’s are not allowed on site due to the location and wildlife on site.
Departure Information: Please ensure you leave the accommodation by 10:00am on your day of departure.
Pets: Please note, if you are planning on bringing your pet or animal on holiday, this must be included in your party make up when booking. If you arrive on holiday with an undeclared pet/animal, the park operators are entitled to either relocate you to suitable pet/animal-friendly accommodation (if available) or refuse access to the Park. You may also be liable for any Pet charge, cleaning costs and/or relocation costs incurred. Please check with the retreat prior to including any extra pets. Any pets arriving undeclared could be asked to leave the retreat if there is no pet accommodation available.

Furniture is abit tired, beds are very comfortable, everything you need is in the lodge & it was a great size.

The lodge and interior furnishings are in need of a revamp or renewing such as the chairs. Every lodge we have stayed at this year (3 occasions this year) the chairs all have tears and holes in the armrest.

I first read the negative reviews whilst making this booking, thinking these to be not as accurate since I’ve stayed at many Darwin Group sites previously with good experiences.Lodges have only 1 car parking space. Was told that there are many visitors spaces around the site to park in, I only found 1. Further parking is available at the reception which is open to use by non site lodge occupants and can be a good distance to walk if you not good on your feet and on most days of my 7 day stay was full with no space unless you parked in 1 of the electric car spaces. Received a phone call whilst out 1 day walking and exploring, being told to return immediately and remove a vehicle due to very unhappy ground staff which spoilt my day and remaining stay. Tried to relocate the vehicle and the reception parking was full but the staff didn’t seemed too concerned about the inconvenience and problem they had passed onto me. Lodge was what you would expect for a high turn over site 1 in 1 out. Upon entry the bird droppings and spiders webs, windows very dirty which in the sun would obscure the scenic views. Cooker and Hob was heavy in grease and some stains on the bedsheets. Cupboard doors had experienced heavy use and didn’t alway close. The site is very dog friendly which leads to loads of dogs and dog owners and number of dog dropping/faeces around the site and at night in the dark you have to be careful you don’t stand in it. Bar and Restaurant can be overrun with dogs and them sitting on seats.The lodges have over grown shrubs around them which makes the site feel untidy and scruffy. (Which questions what the ground staff actually do apart from moan)Overall this is the worse Darwin site I’ve visited, likelihood of me to return very little to non. If I owned the lodge I’d be a little unhappy at the conditions and the condition of my lodge. Note: if your a family with more than 1 car you may experience parking issues and have to seek alternative parking.
