Walkers and hikers have a plethora of walks to suit all abilities, from low-level walks around Derwentwater to the fells of Latrigg and the mountain top of Skiddaw, all within 5 miles. Alternatively, challenge yourself on the cycle trails in Whinlatter Forest, or take to the water by hiring a boat or going kayaking, canoeing, or paddleboarding on Lake Windermere, both within 20 miles.
