Beny Cot is a well-appointed cottage in the heart of Keswick, praised for its excellent central location, private parking, and comfortable, spacious interiors. Guests appreciate the modern decor, well-equipped kitchen, and thoughtful touches such as games and strong WiFi. The property is ideal for families and groups, with flexible sleeping arrangements and easy access to local amenities and walks. While most reviews highlight cleanliness and comfort, a few mention occasional noise from nearby bin collections and minor maintenance or cleaning issues. Overall, guests consistently recommend the cottage and express a desire to return.
Most guests found the cottage clean and tidy, with several describing it as spotless. However, a few reviews noted lapses in cleanliness, such as dusty surfaces, cobwebs, and mould under a bed, which slightly lowered the overall impression.
The location is universally praised for its proximity to Keswick town centre, shops, restaurants, and walking routes. Private parking is highlighted as a significant advantage in this central setting. Some mention early morning noise from bin collections, but this does not detract from the overwhelmingly positive feedback.
Guests consistently describe the cottage as comfortable, cosy, and spacious, with quality bedding and good water pressure in the shower. The flexible sleeping arrangements and warm atmosphere are appreciated by families and groups.
The cottage is well equipped, with a modern kitchen, utility room, games room, and reliable WiFi. Some minor issues were noted, such as a faulty dishwasher and the need for appliance updates, but these did not significantly impact guests' stays.
Several guests mention thoughtful touches like washing detergent, tea, coffee, and a PlayStation 2, which enhanced their stay. Please note that such extras are not guaranteed for every booking.

Keswick is the perfect holiday destination for families, couples, the fit and the ‘not so fit’! Situated on the shores of Derwentwater, the fells are accessible from the doorstep and the town centre has excellent amenities. Other outdoor activities available locally include mountain biking in Whinlatter Forest, kayaking and sailing on the lakes, rock climbing and ghyll scrambling to name but a few. The ‘not so fit’ may prefer gentle strolls around the town’s parks and shops, partaking in the café culture on Keswick’s pedestrianised market place or a trip on the launch around Derwentwater. Across the road in Fitz Park is an excellent children’s play park, the Keswick Museum with café, a bowling green and the Keswick Leisure Pool is adjacent. Shop 30 yards, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
This property caters for a maximum of 5 people. If the extra bed is required, please enquire in advance so that beds will be made up. Enclosed garden.

We’ve stayed here several times before for the Keswick Convention. It’s well situated, clean and well equipped. The off-Road parking is really useful. We used the extra room in the attic this time and it was great. An extra key (which we’ve had before) would be a bonus. We tried to book again for next year but sadly it’s not available.
