Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Catbells, there really is something for everyone. If you needed to cook though, the range looks amazing.

The shower room never warmed up but if the wall thermometer in the lounge was raised to 22c then the top bedroom radiator began to warm up the bottom 3rd. Otherwise this is a beautiful, clean, well appointed house. The beds are very comfortable with lovely cotton bedding and fluffy quilts. I would highly recommend this house for rental.
