The former Chaucer House Hotel was converted into 14 luxury apartments and is located in the heart of Keswick with all amenities on the doorstep. It is in a very quiet part of the town but still only five minutes’ walk to Market Square and ten minutes’ to the lake shore. It is a perfect base to enjoy a holiday in the Northern Lakes. With many walks surrounding this pretty town, your car may never leave its parking space.
Chaucer’s Nook is situated on the lower ground floor of Chaucer House and is luxuriously furnished with an eye for detail. It is extremely well-equipped throughout with an emphasis on quality.

Fabulous location, well appointed however the sofa is very low and not comfortable for a 62 year old 6 feet tall man. Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired, the stuff you need was clean, bed, bath, shower, cooker microwave but the amount of dust and cobwebs shows no proper cleaning for a number of weeks if not months. Please check under the very low sofa it was appallingly bad.The bedroom smelled damp and fusty masked by an overwhelming aroma of fabric softener. Having a dedicated parking space was the main reason we booked we will definitely look elsewhere next time

Good comfortable apartment in a great location near the town centre. It would be a five star rating but the wireless router packed up on the second day and we were without an internet connection for the rest of the week. The rest of the equipment in the apartment was first class.
