The former Chaucer House Hotel was converted into 14 luxury apartments and is located in the heart of Keswick with all amenities on the doorstep. It is in a very quiet part of the town but still only five minutes’ walk to Market Square and ten minutes’ to the lake shore. It is a perfect base to enjoy a holiday in the Northern Lakes. With many walks surrounding this pretty town, your car may never leave its parking space.
Chaucer’s Nook is situated on the lower ground floor of Chaucer House and is luxuriously furnished with an eye for detail. It is extremely well-equipped throughout with an emphasis on quality.

Well-equipped and comfortable premises in an excellent location - the parking space is a valuable bonus in an area overrun with cars parked on-street. A little more cleaning would improve the appearance, as would the redecoration of the bathroom, which is showing its age. We have stayed here a number of times in the past, and look forward to further visits in the future.

The apartment was lovely, clean & equipped with everything you need.The parking soave was a bonus too.It however was a basement apartment rather than ground floor, so was very dark & only having two windows ( the bedroom window even though opened , just looked onto a drain pipe & a mouldy wall, so didn’t key in any fresh air.

This is a very comfortable apartment for a couple or single. plenty of storage space, good bathroom and comfortable bedroom, nicely decorated throughout. Plenty of kitchen equipment and all the crockery you could want. Smart TV and a CD/DVD player - however this seems impossible to use as it is not connected to the TV, maybe as a result of an upgrade to the latter. Already booked for next year.
