The cottage was in a brilliant location for walking, places to eat and access to the lake. The parking space was amazing as the village can get really busy. The beds were comfy and the cottage had everything we needed. However, we had a real issue with how unclean it was. The floors were absolutely filthy and clearly are not ever mopped - our soles of our socks were black after walking round in the property for just an hour. We ended up buying some really cheap flipflops so we didn’t ruin them all. The plates and glasses weren’t clean, with food smeared on some of the glasses. When we opened the kitchen cupboards they smelled musty and some were grimy - they needed a good wipe, as did the utensil drawer. There was mould on the ceiling in the bathroom and also the shower curtain. Not at all what we would expect from a holiday cottage priced as it is. The property my either needs professional cleaners between guests or someone needs to quality check that the cleaners are actually cleaning to a good standard. We absolutely loved the village and the location of the property - it was just a shame that the cleanliness let it down so badly

We arrived late and it was quite cold and wet. Tried putting the heating on but it wouldn’t work. The following day I phoned the emergency no in the information file. It took about 45 mins to get to speak to an agent. They said they would get someone out. True to their word a maintenance guy came, changed the batteries in the wireless room stat but still nothing. He made a few phone calls and eventually got it working. So Cosy Cottage was cosy once mote. Thank you. The only downside to the cottage was all the windows face the streets and people passing can see right into the rooms I think it would benefit from net curtains at the windows also I couldn’t find any instruction manuals for the kitchen appliances ie: microwave or washing machine. All that apart I would recommend Cosy Cottage and will hopefully return
