An attractive and stylish apartment which has been completely renovated and is beautifully decorated throughout, from the good quality kitchen with marble worktops to the wood effect flooring which is very comfortable in the cosy bedrooms. This is a very peaceful and relaxing apartment in which to enjoy your stay. Situated just off the main street, the apartment is only minutes away from the town centre with its abundance of restaurants, tea rooms, pubs and shops. A 10-minute stroll takes you to the shores of Lake Derwentwater. You won’t even need to move your car to reach the fells. Keswick nestles between the huge bulk of Skiddaw and the beautiful Derwentwater, and is well known as one of the main centres of outdoor activities in the UK, so for those with that adrenalin rush, it is the perfect spot. Shop, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

This has been our fifth year staying at High Views. We love this apartment. It is always extremely clean and well maintained. The kitchen has everything you need. It is warm, cosy and the beds are really comfortable. There is a co-op right Nextdoor that has everything you need and you are right in the center of Keswick town but because it’s set back from the road, it’s extremely quiet. It also has its own designated parking space.It is on the top floor with a walk up 2 flights of stairs and no lift, so it won’t work for everyone but it is perfect for our family of 3 and we have already booked it for next year!

Genuinely a nice apartment which we’ve stayed at twice before this visit. Nicely located though as a second floor apartment the stairs can be tiring after a long walk. It has a well equipped kitchen and the pans etc all looked new so it was well looked after. The dishwasher is a plus and more important than a washing machine for a weeks holiday. Some utensils weren’t however fully cleaned, we assume hand washed on leaving day by the previous renter. The settee’s are comfortable as is the king sized bed ( we only ever go to places with king size and wish cottage companies had a filter on their search facilities for king size). It had two tower fans which was great in the 30 degree heat we had towards the end of the week, though it was still very hot inside. Great for parking too, albeit the spaces are narrow. Our only issue is the bottom fan oven which doesn’t get hot enough. We left it to preheat for 40 minutes and it still didn’t reach temperature. We cooked food with the thermostat generally set 40 degrees higher than the product said to cook at and it was still barely cooked. We didn’t have any chicken dishes out of concern over the oven temperature. We had a similar issue last year too and I noted the guest book said others had expressed concerns too, but it had been checked and found to be okay. I don’t believe that it can be okay, and our oven at home would blast your face if opened when set at 180 yet you could put your hand inside comfortably the apartments at 240.
