Excellent cottageVery clean and comfortable. The only thing lacking was adequate recycling. We were on holiday with a 92 year old who managed the railway walk in to Keswick and got the bus back( x4/ x5) drops you just across the road- ask for top of chestnut hill. The castle rigg stone circle is about 15 mins up a hill Recommend going at dusk when no other tourists - very atmospheric.

Great holiday accommodation, spacious house with recent bathroom & kitchen upgrades & well equipped. Good location for walks out plus Keswick centre & lake. Very quiet & fabulous views from the house & garden. You can find it either off the main road as directed OR by turning left from Eleventrees Road that leads up to Castlerigg stone circle as marked on Googlemaps onto a small private road (turn left by the white house with lots of roses out front) . Useful to bring - kitchen roll, scourer, spare tea towel, toilet rolls, hand soap (no toiletries provided). We would stay here again.

This was a very nice house in a great location--close to Keswick but with a nice neighborhood feel and beautiful views of the hills. The house was well maintained and had everything listed, though we wouldn't have minded a coffee maker (but they did leave us chocolate and wine). It took us a few minutes to locate the house once we got to the street, and the door lock was a little tricky, but we finally figured it out. The main bed (a queen, not a king) was comfortable. Would recommend to others.
