Hindscarth is a second-floor apartment which has been refurbished in Nov 2025. The second bedroom has been enlarged and Hindscarth now hosts four guests. It is light and airy with beautiful views across the town to the fells from three sides. At least 15 Wainwrights are visible including Catbells, Grisedale Pike, and Skiddaw. The apartment has an air of calm and tranquillity - perhaps because of the views. Hindscarth is situated just off the main street and only minutes’ walk from the town centre with its abundance of restaurants, tea rooms, pubs and shops. With its convenient private parking space next to the building entrance what more could you ask for in this bustling and thriving lakes town. A 10-minute stroll takes you to Hope Park on the shores of beautiful Lake Derwentwater, or Fitz Park 10 minutes’ walk across the Greta has a children’s playground. Shops (Booths, Coop) are 2 minutes’ walk. Keswick nestles between imposing Skiddaw and the beautiful Derwentwater and is well known as one of the main centres of outdoor activities in the UK. For those who like that adrenalin rush or the peace of the hills, this is the perfect spot.

    We have just returned from our second holiday at Hindscarth. This flat is ideally placed on the edge of the town centre with pubs cafes and shops close by. Booths across the road next to the bus station from where you can catch a bus to anywhere in the Lake District. The flat has everything you need for your stay comfortable furniture and beds and the assigned parking space is gold. The last time we were here the bathroom was in need of an update, this has been done to a high standard so everything is now excellent. We have had a lovely stay and will be back.

    We have stayed a few times at this well placed flat. Since our last stay it has been freshened up. They had thoughtfully put up a little Christmas and little decorations around to help feel the Christmas vibe whilst away. Lovely personal touches around too. We love coming here and with parking place to hand, it suits just setting out walking straight in to Keswick with walks all around. A beautiful spot and other places to visit are not far away. We shall no doubt be back….again!!
