Handy for Braithwaite and Keswick. Cottage is ideal layout for a relaxing stay for 6, no shortage of bathrooms! Great open plan living area with room for everyone. Private, relaxing, tastefully presented , very practical (storage basket idea is brilliant!), & everything you need! Lovely garden over Comb beck, so relaxing to hear the water & look over to Skiddaw! Shame the garden is not enclosed, but understand that this would not be practical and it is beautiful. Not an issue with our dog as she was on a long lead to keep safe when out there, but it does result in off lead dogs occasionally shattering the peace, but that’s up to their owners, not the property! Highly recommend, look out for the bunnies and the visitors to the bird table opposite the kitchen window :) would book again.

It is all done to a high standard with everything you need from kitchen equipment to luxury towels and bathroom toiletries. Parking was ample and, although the brook was noisy, inside the house was quiet. It would be useful to have some welcome guidance. There’s a cute little board with the wifi code on and it looks like there was a section missing which would tell you useful bits like how to control the heating etc. I definitely recommend this to anyone thinking of exploring the Lake District in style.
