Guests say

Guests have enjoyed their stays at Burnside Park, praising its amazing views, cleanliness, and peaceful setting. The property is well-equipped and serves as a great base for walking holidays in Keswick. While some minor issues with facilities and parking were mentioned, the overall experience was positive, with the property's location and comfort being particularly appreciated.

The property is generally described as clean and well-equipped, with guests noting its tidiness upon arrival. However, one guest suggested that the outdoor area could have been swept, slightly affecting the score.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful views and proximity to Keswick, making it ideal for walking and exploring the Lakes. The ease of access to local attractions contributes to a high score.

Guests found the lodge comfortable with a cosy lounge, although some noted the bedrooms were a bit small. The property provided a relaxing environment, despite a mention of a noisy toilet cistern.

Facilities are generally good, with everything needed for a stay. However, there were comments about tricky parking, non-working lights, and a slow hot water tap, indicating room for improvement.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

We had a pleasant stay. The lodge was comfortable, the lounge was a good size but had a nice cosy feel to it. The bedrooms were a bit small but otherwise perfectly comfortable. We walked into Keswick town most days, its a mile each way. It was a fairly easy walk via Fitz Park but did mean crossing the A66 at the roundabout but it was never difficult. And you will need a torch at night. We enjoyed the outlook from the lodge onto Latrigg and other fells. We did a few walks straight from the lodge too.We found parking at this particular lodge very tricky and tight however. That would put me off from staying there again unless it can be improved. The lodge could have perhaps been made a little more welcoming by sweeping the leaves from the decked area before we arrived and leaving the heating on low as it was very cold inside when we arrived. And a pint of milk and some bread and tea/coffee etc would have been a nice touch. But overall a good base for a week and we felt comfortable once it had warmed up.

Ideal spot if you enjoy walking. The walk to Keswick is really pleasant and well defined. The lodge was cleanish and comfortable although the information was sparse (no details rather rubbish disposal or local amenities). Would certainly return.
