All on the ground-floor, the studio compromises a kitchen, sitting area and dining area, with the bedroom sitting in a separate alcove for your privacy and comfort. Head to the local shop and gather up some groceries to prepare in the kitchen, with a dining table conveniently placed next to it, take a seat and enjoy your home-cooked cuisine with a glass of wine and good company. In the evenings, the sitting area offers a great place to kick back and relax while escaping in the television in one of the plush reclining armchairs; a marvellous spot to achieve true tranquillity. If you’re staying in the summer months be sure to take advantage of the courtyard at the front of the property, offering ample seating where you can enjoy a good book under the sun or play ball games with the family, retreat here to be surrounded by beautiful countryside views and the fresh breeze. Between the magnificent northern lakes of Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite, lies the village of Braithwaite. Still retaining much of its traditional appeal, the Coledale Beck runs through the village with whitewashed Lakeland cottages, two village shops and two real ale Inns each brimming with character! Between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw, there really is something for everyone. Visit Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the lake with an open-air theatre, or take a trip around the lake. Lake District Wildlife Park, Dodd Wood, Derwentwater, and Keswick with its wide range of attractions, are also within easy reach.
